I Do: Travis & Emily Columbia SC Wedding Photography

So so much to catch up on and I couldn't think of a better way to start than with Travis and Emily's beautiful 701 Whaley wedding in Columbia. The blush tones of the bridesmaids dresses mixed perfectly with the groomsmen's dapper black tuxedos. The gorgeous bouqets were filled with peonies and anemones and were both striking and delicate all at the same time. I cannot wait for you to see! Travis and Emily's ceremony was set for after dark so they agreed to a first look and I just adored capturing that moment between them. These two were a dream to work with and we truly felt like we were just spending the day with friends and family. Enjoy some of my favorites from this special day!

Harrison & Lauren, Bluffton Wedding Photography

Lauren may have been one of my most laid back brides...ever. There I said it. It's true. Cool as a cucumber and just excited to walk down the aisle to Harrison. Their Beaufort ceremony and Bluffton reception was not only picture perfect but also just filled with beautiful moments and wonderful people. I've had the privilege now of shooting a few weddings within this circle of friends and every one of them has left me feeling blessed beyond words that I get to call what I do a job. It was a pretty special day and I think the images will show how much fun we had. The reception was graciously hosted at the home of family friends of the bride and their backyard just happened to back up to breathtaking river views accompanied by the field of my photography dreams for photos on our way in. Oh heavens. Oh and for any of you brides wondering if you can "get away with more greenery" at your reception...the answer is yes...a million yes. See for yourself- the wild greenery with gorgeous gold accents at the reception was just so beautiful! Thanks you two for trusting me and my team with your memories! Oh and huge huge thanks to Hunter and Jared for their tireless work shooting beside me in the lowcountry heat! Enjoy some of my favorites from this special day!

Kevin & Kati, Society Hall Wedding, Charleston SC

The blog has been all quiet for a season and I am trying desperately to get this thing updated so you can see all the pretty things I've been busy working on for the Spring. To start...this gorgeous wedding of two very special people. Kevin and Kati tied the knot at St Andrews church in Mt Pleasant where Kati grew up followed by a fun (and I mean fun) reception downtown at Society Hall. The Emerald Empire Band truly deserves credit for our reception images because they kept the dance floor packed and they knocked our socks off with their talent...seriously hire these people they were amazing. Kevin and Kati's day was special start to finish and we loved being a part of it and capturing their happily ever after. Lauren at ELM Events made the day progress flawlessly which makes our job that much easier..couple that with these two love birds and it was a joy start to finish! Enjoy some of my favorites!

Noah and Jennifer, Cannon Green Wedding, Charleston SC

What a treat being a part of this special day. From the start I knew Jen and Noah were the best possible way. They wanted their day to be different. A celebration of the life they were starting together with their closest friends and family. Their day was perfectly them and I cannot think of a better location for them than the hip new Cannon Green downtown. Just a few weeks before the wedding these two survived a terrible car accident...and amazingly a few weeks later were just about all healed up except for a residual black eye for Noah. They gracefully smiled their way through it and had the best attitude about it not ruining their wedding plans at all...if anything it brought them closer.  Jen worked for years as an international high fashion model and is now pursuing a career as a pastry chef for Dean and Deluca...and Noah is a writer and soon to be lawyer. They met thanks to Hurricane Sandy a few years ago in New York City and they decided Charleston was the perfect destination for them to tie the knot. I knew these two would be a treat to photograph, but more than that they were a joy to work with. What a fun perfectly quirky day filled with amazing food great company and simply stated details. Enjoy my favorites!
