Kevin & Kati, Society Hall Wedding, Charleston SC

The blog has been all quiet for a season and I am trying desperately to get this thing updated so you can see all the pretty things I've been busy working on for the Spring. To start...this gorgeous wedding of two very special people. Kevin and Kati tied the knot at St Andrews church in Mt Pleasant where Kati grew up followed by a fun (and I mean fun) reception downtown at Society Hall. The Emerald Empire Band truly deserves credit for our reception images because they kept the dance floor packed and they knocked our socks off with their talent...seriously hire these people they were amazing. Kevin and Kati's day was special start to finish and we loved being a part of it and capturing their happily ever after. Lauren at ELM Events made the day progress flawlessly which makes our job that much easier..couple that with these two love birds and it was a joy start to finish! Enjoy some of my favorites!

I Do: Aaron & Emily, Charleston SC Wedding Photography

This downtown Charleston wedding is just delicious start to finish. Amazing couple...wonderful decor...unbelievable light. Narrowing to favorites was a welcomed struggle. Aaron and Emily met through Aaron's mom. Not too many couples can say that! Mrs B knew Emily was the perfect girl for her son and she was right. Aaron and Emily said I do at the First Baptist Church downtown with a reception to follow at Hibernian Hall...a venue I don't shoot at often, but it's one of my all time favorites as my hubs and I held our reception there as well. It was also super special to be with Aaron and Emily and be trusted with their memories as I have actually known both of them long before they knew each other. Their day couldn't have been more perfect and I couldn't be happier to see the joy on both their faces. Special thanks to a few folks who really helped the day go so well: the ladies at ELM Events, the band Permanent Vacation kept the dance floor packed...and of course my talented second shooter Rachel Red and spring intern Andrea Porter for their tireless work. Enjoy my favorites!

I Do: Tom & April, Boone Hall Wedding Charleston SC

It is always a good day shooting at the beautiful Boone Hall Plantation. Add two amazing laid back clients who love each other and this photographer couldn't be happier. Tom and April brought all their closest friends and family to Charleston to witness their vows under the majestic old oaks. April's aunt officiated and the talented ladies over at Yoj Events handled all the exquisite details. The ring bearer and flower girl may have just stolen my heart...I couldn't take their photo enough. It was a perfect day despite looming storm clouds and blustery wind... we didn't see a drop of rain. Special thanks to the talented Rachel Red for second shooting along with my spring intern Andrea Porter. Enjoy some of my favorites.

I Do: Caleb & Abbie Wed, River Oaks Charleston Wedding

True statement...I had to sit here and think a minute when I logged into my blog account as to what my password was. That my friends is when you know...it's been too long. It's good to be back. And trust me you wont mind that I've been gone for the holidays once you see the beauty I am about to share. What a wedding. Truly perfect from start to finish. Perfect couple...perfect style...perfect location. I can't complain. I truly believe what made this day so special though was not the unbelievable decor and design (which never hurts) but the true joy, beauty, peace, patience and love of these two wonderful people. Abbie and Caleb made documenting their love and their day just plain easy. Now- there is some serious beauty in this post. Amazing dresses...gorgeous flora with a hint of down to earth rustic. Also, enjoy some of their wonderfully fun ideas like hot poured pralines and milk as a nightime snack(Caleb's favorite)...an oyster bar as a late night treat for guests...a penny wishing jar for guests to write them a note and then send them a well wish. Truly too much to list it all- but enjoy the beautiful images of a magical day. Special thanks to the talented Carmen Ash for her beautiful work assisting me on this day!
