I Do:Alan & Jenny, Beaufort SC Wedding

Jenny and Alan planned their big day around a sentimental oak tree from Jenny's childhood. It was a sweet backyard wedding under the magestic oak with a reception to follow. I so enjoyed my time with these two and just the laid back feel of the day...we felt like family more than we did "the photographers" so thankyou. My spring intern Andrea Porter from over at Shoot the Moon Photography joined me despite having her wisdom teeth removed the day before (I know I know...her choice not mine...she's just a hard charger) and I cannot say thank you enough. Enjoy the special images from this sweet day.

I Do: Derek & Lindsay; Connie Maxwell Baptist Church Wedding, Greenwood, SC

Rain. Drizzle. Cold. Fog. We had it all on Derek and Lindsay's big day. But a chilly rainy and drizzly January day couldn't dampen this wedding. Derek and Lindsay just exude a joy that comes from deep inside. They're precious to be around and they made their day feel like sunshine even if we never saw a drop of it. Lindsay and Derek chose Connie Maxwell Baptist Church in Greenwood to tie the knot. The praise choir from Erskine College where Derek works sang as guests entered and the sound could just send chills down your spine....unbelievable worship! Definitely a memory I will never forget. The day felt truly perfect start to finish...and their first look just makes me smile from ear to ear. I know a lot of couples worry that it will make the walk down the aisle "less special". But every moment was a new one with these two and their love and excitement for each other was just a joy to photograph. Enjoy some of my favorites from this sweet couples forever I do.

Oh and a HUGE thank you to my talented and crazy awesome intern Andrea for lugging gear and shooting alongside me! The last image of the night is just one of the many standouts she captured!

Belly Love: Dave & Val. Charleston SC Maternity Photography

I am going to start blogging some of my beautiful mamas. I have for a few years now only blogged weddings just out of time restraints, but as my own family has expanded I am now rapidly growing in the maternity and newborn session department! I guess it just comes with the territory. But I have to admit...maternity sessions might just be my most favorite "job". I cant even call it a job really I enjoy these sessions thoroughly. Pregnancy is such a beautiful time of excitement and anticipation and a flood of so many other wonderful emotions. I love being able to capture that and freeze that moment for my clients. Fellow photographer and friend Valerie asked me to document this time for her and her hubby Dave. These are a few of my favorites from our time at Boone Hall Plantation. Enjoy this glowing Mom and Dad to be!

I Do: Caleb & Abbie Wed, River Oaks Charleston Wedding

True statement...I had to sit here and think a minute when I logged into my blog account as to what my password was. That my friends is when you know...it's been too long. It's good to be back. And trust me you wont mind that I've been gone for the holidays once you see the beauty I am about to share. What a wedding. Truly perfect from start to finish. Perfect couple...perfect style...perfect location. I can't complain. I truly believe what made this day so special though was not the unbelievable decor and design (which never hurts) but the true joy, beauty, peace, patience and love of these two wonderful people. Abbie and Caleb made documenting their love and their day just plain easy. Now- there is some serious beauty in this post. Amazing dresses...gorgeous flora with a hint of down to earth rustic. Also, enjoy some of their wonderfully fun ideas like hot poured pralines and milk as a nightime snack(Caleb's favorite)...an oyster bar as a late night treat for guests...a penny wishing jar for guests to write them a note and then send them a well wish. Truly too much to list it all- but enjoy the beautiful images of a magical day. Special thanks to the talented Carmen Ash for her beautiful work assisting me on this day!
