I Do: Brandon & Allison. Ronda, NC

Looking at the images from this amazing vineyard wedding literally make me feel like I have fallen into a fairy tale. I cannot express the beauty of this location, the love of this couple, and the beautiful moments I feel blessed to have witnessed. Truly a gift. I was fortunate to have the talented Savannah Strickland shooting Allison and Brandon's big day with me. The rolling hills, rows of grapevines, and of course the majestic blue ridge mountains gracing the background of our images was quite a treat for us! A quick back story for you on this beautiful couple. Allison met Brandon many years ago as she was just entering NC State as a freshman. Allison told me it all happened when they saw each other at one of Brandon's concerts...the dreamy band drummer had met his match in this starry eyed freshman and the rest is history. Years later, a mountain wedding in the vineyard was exactly what they both had dreamed of.  It was perfect. The sun setting over the mountains was breathtaking. A perfect gift for these two as they started their new life together. Enjoy some of my favorite images from the day.

Cheers!

 Erin

Flower girls are precious anyways....but triplets in curlers. love!

Love love love...

Allison wrote each of the girls a note on their shoes...love this shot!

This is what we call "yummy light"...oh so beautiful

Peonies and dahlias everywhere....my favorite flowers!

Loved this!!! Choreographed dance with the whole bridal party....let me tell you they owned it and it was awesome.

Brandon and his band of course had to take the stage...I hope the Caribbean was awesome!!!! Thanks you two for sharing such an amazing day!

I Do: Tripp & Haven. Columbia, SC

This wedding was so nostalgic for me...heading back to my alma mater...hearing "Gamecocks" chanted at the reception...awesome. So quite obviously Tripp and Haven are USC alumnus...and that is where they met. Haven is a sweet southern straight shooting kind of girl. I love it. So easy to know exactly what she's thinking. I imagine Tripp loves that too. Together they just make sense. Both are social and the life of the party. Their reception was seriously out of control fun...in a very good way. Also a huge plus for us this day- a bridal party up for anything and ready to have a good time. Melissa and I both loved the easy going fun feel of the day. The reception was at 701 Whaley Street....holy cow do I love this place! Haven's momma also "detailed" it out and everything looked perfect. We shot Haven't bridal portrait at the venue (coming in a separate post soon) and I am really lovin the hardwood floors and concrete walls...just oozing character. It was kind of ridiculous trying to narrow down our favorites for this one...continues to be our downfall. After careful selection- here are our some of the stand outs from the big day!

M & E

We didn't escape the day without some thunderstorms...this is the calm before the storm...loved the sky and the roof the the church.

love love love!!!

Some details now by Mel....the reception was filled with them!

Some of my favorite wedding moments...A dad and his daughter...
Tripp's dad joined in the mother-son dance with Haven. Let me tell you- this is the look of a man who knows his son married one good woman...and he adores her.

love love love this elevator!

Hope the honeymoon was amazing! Thanks for trusting us with your memories.

Just for Fun! A Faux Wedding!

So this was a first for me. Shooting a faux wedding with a faux bride and groom. I know you are thinking- what??? So let me explain. Kathy over at A Wonderful Wedding here in Charleston threw a giant launch party for their brand new television show featuring Drew the Bride Detective that is all about planning a wedding in the Holy City...and of course the party was a wedding! It was a fun very different experience for me. The party was hosted at the Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Waterfront right on the harbor. They have this perfect space for throwing a reception on their terrace but it is kind of a well-kept secret! So we are working to change that. It was wonderful partnering with such amazing vendors on this project! Special thanks to Hamby Catering, Wildflowers Inc, Classical Charleston and everyone who sweated out there to make this possible. And of course thanks to John and Stephanie for spending their two month wedding anniversary with us all re-living their big day again!

It is lunch time and looking at all of this delicious food all over again is making me soo hungry. Unfortunately my fridge has nothing remotely close to offer.

The theme was Diamonds are Forever...look at all of those diamonds made from icing! I don't even know how you do something like that!

It was such a gorgeous night on the harbor!

Growing Up: Leighton. Columbia, SC

It's been a little over three months since I last photographed Leighton. Just a newborn then, she is a busy and curious four month old now! Alex agreed to meet me halfway for the shoot in Columbia. We headed over to City Art for a cool indoor location to beat this crazy heat outside. Their warm hardwood floors and beautiful brick walls offered the perfect spot! Unfortunately Alex's hubby Matt had to work so it was just my time with the girls. Enjoy my favorites!

Leighton has her momma's beautiful big eyes...and she gave me this expression quite a bit- I think it's adorable!

Alex makes these fun flower headbands on the side! So many colors and choices- so fun! If you want to custom order you can too! TadpoleandLily@gmail.com
