I Do: Jon & Kylie, Charlotte, NC

We're back from another marathon weekend on the road with beautiful weddings. So very excited to share with you Kylie and Jon's big day. After meeting with these two over coffee almost a year ago I have been counting down to their wedding. Just a genuinely awesome couple. Anytime Melissa and I can walk into someone's big day and be given full permission to be creative and trusted to capture their day with our vision it is so so thrilling. I think that we squealed with excitement more than a few times having so much fun playing with this wonderful group of people. Loved! But mixed with all the fun and excitement, their was definitely a heavy burden to bring as many moments as possible to life for Kylie. Kylie's Dad was not well and couldn't make it for her wedding. Truly an honor to be trusted with such a huge responsibility- Mel and I poured our hearts into this day. We should have packed tissues as tears streamed down our faces during the ceremony. No one had told me that Kylie's Dad had written a letter to be read to them at the altar...perhaps the most touching moment I have ever experienced at a wedding. And yes my adoration for these two grew and grew. So easy going, so happy, and so ready to be Mr. and Mrs- it brings an infectious joy to witness it. So grab some tissues- maybe a snack- this post is a little longer than most. To Kylie's Dad- this is for you. What an amazing young woman you have raised...and what a wonderful wedding it was. I truly hope we take you there.

E&M

Venue: Queens College

Entertainment: Cameron with Big Time DJ's

Yes, that is a fire truck you see. How fabulous that the department was right across from the church. We had a blast!  And then they got a call...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     So much fun at the reception...lots and lots of dancing!               Cameron with Big Time DJ's with the best thriller dance I have seen in a while... good stuff!                                                                                                                                                                            Oh my goodness! I cannot believe I almost forgot this one! We will end with the fun find of the day...a heart shaped puddle? I mean really! Melissa captured it perfectly :)  Hope the honeymoon was fabulous

I Do: William & Nicole. Charleston, SC

Phew- Friday already? I am blogging this one early as Melissa and I hit the road for Georgia tommorrow for a wedding on St. Simon's Island. So so many fun moments and details from Nicole and William's big day. I loved all of the blue and pink together- just beautiful! So a quick history of these two. They have been together for quite a few years now. I used to listen to Nicole talk about William when we worked together at Channel 5 News. William is Nicole's biggest fan...her biggest advocate...her protector...all of these things. You can just see the way he looks at her that he wants to be her everything. Nicole is fun-loving and so energetic. She loves to laugh! Nicole with William just makes sense. So on the big day, Mel and I met the girls over at the Marriot (which I have to say offered some sweet shooting!). The ceremony was at St. Luke's chapel downtown followed by a reception at the Aquarium. Enjoy some of our favorites!

This shot by Mel I would frame in my house...seriously love!

Melissa on these with the guys. They wanted to shoot at the library attached to the med-school where William got his degree.  sorry fellas...    All I can say ladies- Tyra would be proud.   William's sweet momma's face here I love...Melissa ninja shooting on this one :)   love love love                                      I really couldn't help but post this one...  So in case you are wondering why they are covered in money- this is the money dance...your guests way of "gifting you" on your wedding day with cash for a dance...and then William made it rain..haha!                                                                                                                                                                         Thanks for sharing the memories you two. Hope St. Lucia was a blast! Cheers, Mel and Erin

E Session: F & C. Charleston, SC

(Note-post modified to not include names for security purposes given the groom's duties serving our country....hopefully you can still follow just fine:) )So I tell all of my couples before their e-session to come ready to play. F and C needed little instruction in that department. They seem to be pros at playing..laughing...and most importantly loving one another. Their short story would go like this...C meets F...F falls for C...C takes her time...F pursues like a champ...C eventually falls...and F's hard work and dedication pays off- they live happily ever after :). I think C likes the part of the story where F pursued at all costs knowing that she was the one for his heart. These two are precious. I mean literally I could have been dancing during their shoot. They are madly in love and it is refreshing to be around. F is in the United States Marine Corps serving our country- and it seemed only fitting that we met for their shoot on Memorial Day. I cannot wait for the big day in Asheville, NC in September! For now enjoy my favorites! I kinda love them all...so I will try to be sparing with my "love love love's!" :)  Hands down two of my favorites!                                                                                          How much fun are they!?     And I had to include the shot that officially ended the session. We really were done anyways...but this wall of water on Chrysa made it official :)

I Do: Tim & Rebecca, Charleston SC

I have to be honest- I was so worried that Rebecca and Tim's big day was going to be dampened by the day's weather. I was scrambling for indoor locations and quickly setting up lights for when the rain didn't let up. But lots and lots of prayers later by oh so many people- the skies around us cleared- the rain let up- the sun even peeked through! It was such a gift! A perfect wedding gift for this coupleso madly in love and anxious to say I do. This isn't just any couple- they are quite dear to my heart. My husband Matt and the groom have been pals since their awkward middle school years, and I have to say not even I can get my own hubby laughing quite like this guy. Just really genuine, so lighthearted, and boy does he love Rebecca. They met volunteering at the Dream center in North Charleston. Both have a heart for those in need. Rebecca's dad likes to say "she met her dream man at the Dream center". haha nice. So after a short engagement and lots of planning it was time to say I Do. Magnolia Plantation truly seemed like the perfect setting- really like a love story- and Rebecca's dress just looked like she jumped out of a fairy tale- I mean stunning. Such a beautiful couple and a truly special day. I was lucky to have my friend Lindsay with me capturing the memories and she rocked it out! Enjoy my favorites! -E

I loved all the daises! Such a happy flower :)                                                                                                                                                                                         Never ever have I done a jump shot in one take...first try- they nailed it! Oh my goodness I think this one is breathtaking! I really think this is such a thrifty idea- to print the program and frame it rather than print hundreds!                                                                                                                                                  Their fathers both married them...it was so special.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Hands down one of my favorites of the day...          Love this too!

Lindsay caught this moment and I LOVE it!     l o v e        love        l o v e                                Fun details from the reception...                                                                                                                                                                             Loved how they used images from our e-session mixed with letters and quotes written between them for a really fun display.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     As I'm sure you can tell...the first dance started and ended quite differently! I can't decide which is better here...Tim doing a split or the people's reaction watching.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Thanks for trusting me with your memories!!! Love to you both.
