Growing Up: Kai, York, SC

I've got a cutie to share with you today. Full of smiles and laughs! This has not always been the case for Kai as he has definitely had some camera shyness during our past sessions! But oh boy was he on his game for his 10 month portraits! I think he took some tips from his big sister Raelynn who has been posing in front of my camera since she was just 5 days old! These two sweeties belong to two dear friends of ours. Always fun to see how they're growing!  Enjoy the sneak peek!

So Mom went to Appalachian...Dad went to USC. I feel like he's an ASU fan?

We are entering Raelynn into America's Next Top Model....she did this with no prompting from me...I mean it.

Wedding: Bryant & Jenny. Columbia, SC Wedding Photography

This wedding is gushing full of beautiful details. Gray and yellow combos are seriously my favorites! I think this design worked so well with the fun backdrop of 701 Whaley in Columbia, SC- I know you will be inspired!  I first met Jenny and Bryant for their e-session in Georgetown months before their wedding. They are a thoughtful, gentle, and caring couple. A dream to work with. These two are rooted deeply in family and one another. It was so sweet to watch the many interactions throughout the day...you can tell Jenny's family is delighted to have Bryant as their son-in-law, and Bryant's family very clearly cherishes Jenny. It's just really neat to see that love and support for these two as they start their new life together. It was tough pulling favorites as I felt like I had so many! Here is a sneak peek!

Newborn Jackson. Columbia, SC

Photographing Jackson for me was a full circle in my career. Let me explain. Jonathan and Shelley were my very first couple. They hired me to photograph their wedding based on what they saw in me and in my work that truthfully I am not sure I even saw in myself at the time. Thrilled...excited...and scared to pieces I documented their wedding day. It was such an awesome experience. It solidified for me that I had arrived...I was walking on the path that had been laid out for me...and boy did it feel good. I adore these two. Their foundation and love for the Lord and each other is strong. Walking into their gorgeous home filled with vintage finds and Shelley's sweet design touches all over was even a bit surreal. Hanging on their walls, some of the beautiful images from their wedding day. I love knowing that they are enjoying my art...it brought me so much joy. So yes- back to full circle (sorry I veered off). This is my first couple's first baby. Sweet Jackson just like his mom and dad could not have been a more easy going "client" :). Shelley fed him well before our shoot and I can honestly say I barely saw the whites of his eyes the whole time! He was zonked out asleep! What a joy to be a part of documenting this new beginning. Again, what a gift to be trusted with such sweet memories. Thank you two again for the blessing you have been in my career and my life!

Newborn Ava. Charleston, SC

Yes...another baby post! I told you lots of babies in April! Really it's a lot of fun for me to be trusted with the first images from these children's lives. I "documented" Ava before she officially joined us in the world when I photographed Erika's maternity session. It was really sweet to meet Ava after having the opportunity to work with Erika and see her excitement for little Ava's big arrival. Both Erika and her husband were college basketball players which equals one strong baby! For only being a few days old Ava was ready to lift herself off most of the surfaces we put her on! Amazing. We lulled her to sleep at the end for some of my favorites! Enjoy!
