I Do: Emily & Kevin Charleston, SC

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am blogging from the road in the great state of Washington on a much needed vacation! We have a beautiful wedding filled with one of the most easy going light-hearted couples to share with you today.  These two had us smiling all day long. Kevin and Emily compliment each other perfectly. Kevin is a complete goof ball. I think for every smiling somewhat serious image of Kevin I may have to choose from there are at least three images filled with funny faces. One thing is for sure- Kevin will keep Emily laughing for life. Emily on the other hand is tender and soft and loves to laugh with her man.  These two chose the Citadel Chapel and Beach House for their wedding and reception. Kevin went to the Citadel, and he and Emily dated all four years he was there. Amazingly they met much earlier in life in England! Both were military kids with parents stationed abroad...Emily met Kevin out at a restaurant and as the story goes he hinted to her father that he would marry her someday. Their wedding day was filled with beautiful blue and green details and sweet moments among friends and family. Special thanks to Melissa with Suggs Photography for helping me capture the memories! Enjoy the sneak peek!

I Do: Rick & Jen, Camden, South Carolina

I have been seeing Rick and Jen at weddings for almost two years now, and I could not have been more delighted for it to be their turn at last! Jen has referred so many wonderful clients my way over the years! So, to start this story, rewind with me almost ten years (yikes that seems like a long time!). Jen would stand guard in front of me on the soccer field as I did my best to block any balls from making it into the goal for our high school soccer team. That was where we met and became friends. Years passed, we both went off to college and pursued careers, and then through photography and weddings we reconnected. Along the way, she met Rick. She fell hard and fast for this lawyer-to-be who happened to love the outdoors, boating, and all things southern (just as she did.) It seemed perfect and clearly he agreed, as he didn't let the moss grow under his feet to ask Jen to be his bride! The ceremony was at Jen's parents home church in Camden with a reception to follow downtown at the coolest old brick loft venue. Great decor, great food and a band that kept the dance floor packed awaited us there.  A really fabulous day all around with images that just make me smile. Enjoy the sneak peek filled with fabulous gold dresses, pink accents, and a southern style grits send-off!

I Do: Emily & Brody, Debordieu, South Carolina

I knew the moment Emily walked into that tiny coffee shop complete with her five ring binder in hand filled with gorgeous images, details and designer ideas that this would surely be a special wedding. My feeling was right. Not only did Emily dream up a gorgeous wedding filled with decor and inspiration that would make Anthropologie jealous, but she pulled it all off calmly and with a smile. After shooting Emily's bridal portrait and hearing all about this guy Brody I could hardly wait to meet him. By Emily's descriptions he surely hung the moon and was the sweetest man you would ever meet! Watching him hold his Momma while she cried during their mother-son-dance I knew Emily was right. It's a good man that loves his Momma. These two were a delight to work with, and Melissa and I had a blast being a part of such a special day. The gorgeous surroundings at Debordieu were the perfect backdrop for Emily's decor complete with bird-cages and wild flowers. Emily's dress was stunning! Oh goodness you are in for a treat on this wedding. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek! Thanks to Melissa Suggs for joining me in making memories for these two!
