E-Session: Jamie & Brook. Hendersonville, NC

I really am leaving- promise. I just have so much catch up to do on the blog that I will likely be working all week as I'm gone! Sitting on the airplane right now somewhere over Minnesota on my way to Anchorage- my 7 hour flight seemed like the perfect time to get back to work :).  I'm not really sure where to begin writing this post. To tell you about Brook would probably take way more time than anyone wants to spend reading. We've shared our secrets...hand me down clothes...tears and laughter. She is my sister and my best friend. If I know her well enough she is sitting at her computer and her super soft self is getting a little teary eyed...she has my heart and she knows it...and I love that she is my oh so sensitive big sister.

Brook and Jamie met at pivotal moments in both of their lives. Pieces of their hearts had been worn and tattered and they needed that special someone to patch and mold it back together. They were a perfect fit. They love Frisbee golf, home brewing, and of course their pups. Jamie is a veterinarian in the Army and Brook works for The University of Chapel Hill dealing with maternal and child health issues. Or you can just call her "the breastfeeding queen". She educates women on the importance of feeding their child the best way from birth- and oh she loves it! I really feel like Jamie is winning the lottery (granted I'm partial). Brook is devoted to those she loves. She is quick with a kind word and always ready for a good laugh. Jamie's a good match in that regard. He is all about his family and friends. He loves my sister dearly which brings me more joy than I could put into words. I think he's easy going personality and sense of humor will be a great fit into the Colgan family! When the day arrived that Jamie popped the question it was obvious that I would be putting my camera down to stand beside Brook on their big day, and there is no one I would trust her wedding with more than Melissa and her husband Graham. An awesome team! Melissa joined me for this "drive by" e-session. We fit it into their busy schedules the morning of a wedding shower in my hometown of Hendersonville, NC. I cannot believe the wedding is less than 60 days away! Enjoy just a handful of our favorites!

Erin Sage Photography Hits the Road!

One quick post as I grab my bags and head for the airport. Mel and I along with our hubbies are headed for Alaska!!! Yes we are the luckiest girls! I cannot believe I get to photograph one of my most favorite people in the whole world in the most beautiful of locations! My best friend is getting married...I am hanging up the bridesmaid dress for my photog hat and I couldn't be more excited! I told Nikki that I would likely be emotional and crying as she walked down the aisle but that I would hold real still and let auto focus do it's job! I will be reachable via cell phone and email should anyone need any immediate assistance. But be patient with me...my response may take a lil while!

Cheers!

Newborn Kai. York, SC

These sweet little ones you are about to meet are so so precious to me. I was able to photograph Raelynn her entire first year when we lived in Charlotte. Oh I miss this family dearly being in Charleston now! Raelynn is now a big sis to baby Kai. Kai like Raelynn got his momma's beautiful blue eyes and he is beyond adorable. I so love the part of my job that I can stop time in it's tracks with a photograph... something families will cherish for a lifetime. Kai was just about 12 days old at the time of our shoot...still sooo sleepy and soo cuddly. I really do love brand new baby sessions! Allie and Steve enjoy this "sneak peek" at your images- the rest to come soon!

Trash the Dress. Sean & Allie. Charleston, SC

If you've never thought of a fun post-wedding trash the dress session as something for you- I am convinced you will change your mind looking at these images. Oh my goodness I am ready to buy a throw away wedding dress and pretend like my own wedding wasn't two years ago! What I love about trash the dress photos is that they are carefree, fun and playful. Allie and Sean got married back in the winter up in Maryland in about three feet of snow. It was kind of disappointing for them to not get outdoor wedding photographs, so Allie has had her heart set on a warm beach trash the dress session. So so glad she called me! We had so much fun and these images are hot! I love them. So excited to finally be sharing the sneak peak! Allie let me know how the dress cleaned up- perhaps other brides would feel more inclined to play if they knew the dress wasn't ruined after! Enjoy you two!
