Mary Claire & Sims: E Session. Charleston, SC

Cold weather....dreary gray day....it didn't really matter to Mary Claire and Sims. They laughed, played, and cuddled right on queue for me. We started their engagement session at Hibernian Hall downtown. These two have photos together on these very same steps as kids! They have known each other almost their whole lives, and yet it wasn't until a few years ago when they were re-introduced to one another that they found love. Sims is patient, kind and tender with Mary Claire. He is her rock that brings stability when the ground gets shaky. Mary Claire brings spontaneity, fun, laughter and joy in return. Asking Mary Claire not to smile is like asking the sun not to shine. It is who she is and it brings immeasurable joy to those in her life. I know this quite well as we were teammates at the University of South Carolina back in the day. We shared not only the track but an apartment with two other dear friends. What a joy to now share this next big step in life! MC and Sims will tie the knot this fall on Edisto Island. Oh I can hardly wait! Here is a sneak peek at a few images from our e-session. You will find a slideshow with more down below!

Jimmy & Lauren. E Session, Charleston SC

So as of today the Erin Sage Photography blog may start looking a little bit different. In an attempt to share more work and be most efficient with my time I am starting more slideshow posts than actual photos on the blog. Don't worry- I will still do a little of both but I've got to give something new a shot! So first up- I can't think of a better couple to share with you than Jimmy and Lauren! Jimmy flew in from Chicago for the session in Charleston. These two will tie the knot here in July so they really wanted the lowcountry backdrop for their engagement session. Jimmy is my hubby's big brother. Lauren was actually introduced to him through my sister-in-law. Small world...funny how God works. I had a blast with these two on their engagement session. They were a breeze to work with! I really mean it when I say couples who love to snuggle and love on each other are the best! It just refreshes your heart to look at their images and remember that true love does happen. Here is the link to view Jimmy and Lauren's Charleston engagement pictures!

Also- just a tip....be patient as the video loads. It is high resolution which means it's best to let it fully load and then watch it k thanks!

This will be a quick post as I am headed out the door to see the sweet new baby our friends Carmen and Caleb welcomed into the world today. Such an amazing day! I have been so excited to share the talented work of a good friend. She is a woman after my own heart...making a total career change...taking a leap of faith and following her dreams and talents to start her own floral design company here in Charleston. Step 1- fabulous photos! Yay! Here is just a sampling of some bouquets....enjoy!

Family Time: The Crider's. Charleston, SC Family Portraits

Spending time with the Crider family equals fun for me. Their children make me laugh and Kelly and John David are some of the coolest parents I know. That sounds silly perhaps to say, but I really love watching them interact with their kids. I guess because I don't have kids I take good notes when I see parents who seem to do it right! As always we had a lot of fun and many laughs watching Carson race around in circles and Macy just contently sit wherever we put her. Oh they are happy kids! Here is a sneak peek at a few of my favorites from our downtown family session. Enjoy!
