Family Time: The Daniels. Charleston, SC Family Photos

Happy Friday everyone! Excited to share this sweet family session with you today. Meet the Daniels! Some of the coolest people I know. Matt and Jenna are fellow wedding photographers who happen to be not only awesome behind the camera but in front of it as well. Their little one Eli is a bundle of energy...and I don't care who you are you cannot look at pictures of this sweet pea laughing and your heart not melt to pieces! The Daniel family will welcome their newest addition in just about a month. Eli has already named his little sister Lucy...we will see if Mom and Dad agree. Enjoy this sneak peek! 

 

I Do: Matt & Lauren. Spring Island, SC Wedding

Ok prepare yourself for a big dose of breathtakingly beautiful things! Oh this Spring Island wedding was simply stunning. Matt and Lauren wanted a wedding focused on the beauty and natural feel of the island that they both have come to love. Ashley with Ashley Rhodes Events took this idea and ran with it! The tent was draped inside with natural magnolia branches and lanterns....cafe lights and moss filled centerpieces...it was perfect. Matt and Lauren met on a trip to the swamps of Arkansas birdwatching. They love to be outdoors. Their guests enjoyed wilderness safaris on the morning of their wedding along with horseback riding and kayaking. Just a really laid back day filled with lots of friends and family. We shot their "first look" before the wedding in a quiet wooded area where they often sit and watch wildlife. It was a perfect setting for a serene memory. I don't think I have ever shot a wedding where bird calls happened from the stage at the reception! The self-proclaimed"bird people" performed first along with Matt who is a professor and avid bird watcher. This was quickly followed by Lauren, who is the captain of a tall ship, and the self-proclaimed "boat people" singing a song.  So much fun. Enjoy the sneak peak from this special day! 

 

Nikolai & Megan. E-Session, Folly Beach South Carolina

Nikolai and Megan will tie the knot in just a few short months in their home state of Maryland, but we still had time to fit in an engagement session before their big day. Megan contacted me hoping for a last minute Charleston theme e-session while they were down for a weekend on vacation. I had a last minute cancellation and it just was meant to be! It worked out perfectly, and we found some awesome backdrops that were perfect for their lowcountry theme wedding. These two have been sweet hearts since high school and they are in it for the long haul! I had so much fun capturing their love for one another. You can tell that their level of understanding for one another is so deep and they bring each other such joy. Just the way it should be. Enjoy a few of my favorites! Growing Up: Austin, Lexington SC

A sneak peek for you this Friday from this sweet 9 month session. My dear friend Lauren and her husband Cameron wanted to recreate a similar shoot we did for Austin's big sis Taylor when she was 9 months old.  It involves a chef hat...a big pot...and a naked baby. How precious! Austin was a champ tolerating our crazy idea so well. This little man is the spitting image of his big sister. Those same big blue peepers and precious little mouth. I can hardly believe how fast he is growing! Enjoy just a few of my favorites!
