I Do. Joanna & Graham. Asheville, NC

Joanna and Graham tied the knot overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC. The view was really breathtaking, and the weather unbelievable! We struck an early November heat wave! It was really perfect considering that Joanna froze the day we shot her bridal portrait in the drizzling rain and 32 degree temps! Every detail at the Crest Center was simply perfect. I love the colors Joanna chose! It truly was a wonderful wedding.  Joanna and Graham just adore each other and it was so sweet to be a part of their big day. Melissa and I had a blast....making it quite hard to narrow down blog favorites! Enjoy!

Growing Up: Bowman. Lake Norman, NC

So much happens in three months! I first met Jason and Bailey three months ago for Bowman's newborn session.  For starters, sweet Bowman slept through almost the entire session! This time she was wide awake...alert...checking out her toes...laughing at her Daddy...and giving the most inquisitive looks! It just always amazes me that in three months time they grow so quickly! It always keeps me excited for the next session because I really consider it a privilege documenting these little ones grow! I cannot wait for our Charleston session. Enjoy my favorites so far!

love love love these two!     Toes!!!!! I love these two!!!!    Of course we had to shoot in the leaves!!! I love these!   Sweet Bowman!!

Family Time. The Harper's. Statesville. NC

I am on a blogging roll today! It helps when I am super motivated to share! I adore this family you are about to see. I truly enjoy my sessions with them! I spent a drizzly foggy Saturday morning with the Harper family at their home in Statesville, NC. The last time I saw them was for Sam's 18 month session. Sam is now approaching his 2 year birthday and he has a baby brother! Ben was just a week old last Saturday at our session. Jodi and Brad are busy making the transition from a trio to a quartet! Unfortunately with the weather we kind of had to split the session between the two boys...Sam was perhaps just as happy as he is still feeling out this little brother thing! Enjoy some of my favorites. For it being a dreary gray day I don't think you can tell- this family warms it right up!

Sam thought his Daddy was the coolest kicking leaves with him!

 Two favorites of the day...

Do you feel like you've seen this suitcase a lot lately?! I am really loving it's 1970's flair! I think Sam likes it too!

I see a future for this one on my home page!

 Baby Ben!

Ben was wide awake for the first half of our shoot...

then the sleepy bug bit....(side note-does Jodi look like she just gave birth?! I only hope that one day I can look this good one week later!)

Oh these images make my heart melt...

Hello Baby Gap meet Sam....you two were meant for each other!

Trash the Dress. Dusty & Ashley. Charleston. SC

I was like a kid in a candy store shooting with Dusty and Ashley this week. They got married last week in Virginia, but chose Charleston as their "mini-moon" destination and asked me to shoot them trashing Ashleys wedding dress. So let me first say for all of you gasping in horror- no we didn't "trash" the dress completely- it did get wet- but it is certainly in good shape and nothing that one trip to the dry cleaners won't fix! Ashley really didn't care a bit, and had fully planned on going swimming in it had the weather not been so yucky! We started their shoot downtown and finished at the beach. Enjoy some of my favorites. Love this couple!

I love this shot. You should have seen the faces of two women who walked out to the street to find Ashley on the ground in her wedding dress...I think they were midly horrified! priceless!  Another favorite. I feel like they're eloping!  Another favorite!    love!  love love love!!! This shot is hot! I love it yes...yes I was ecstatic behind the camera. If only there had been sunshine! But really I just cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed this shoot! Thanks for playing you two!
