Family Time: The Harper's

I always look forward to time with the Harper family. Brad and Jodi adore their two boys and I always feel like the love in this family just comes alive in front of my lens. Sam and Ben are both growing like weeds...it's really hard to believe how much they change every time I see them! This is our latest session from here in Charleston.  It was a fun change of pace since we normally meet in North Carolina and don't have the ocean as our backdrop! Enjoy some of my favorites!

I Do: Tom & Laura. Charleston, SC

Laura is vibrant and fun with a laugh that is contagious. Tom is quietly confident, kind, and loves to have a good time. Together they love dancing, fishing, and pretty much anything out on the water. It was actually their profession that brought them together. Tom is a doctor, and he would find ways to make "medical stops" on Laura's floor where she worked as a nurse. One special date in Charleston in March lead to a wedding two years later! Mel and I had such a wonderful time. I think sometimes we had to remind ourselves that we were hired photographers and not part of the wedding! I think that's just how "at home" Laura makes everyone around her feel! It was a lot of fun. Enjoy some of my favorites from their story book day. I started with a few less traditional images from Laura's bridal session...then onto the fun Melissa had with the boys at Red's Ice House!

I love having the guys meet in a place where you would normally find them! Beers at Red's before the wedding- exactly Tom's style. Love the Bows!!             Meanwhile- the ladies were busy getting ready at Stella Nova                                                                                                                                                                                       Did I mention Laura was super expressive! These make me smile.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Love love love this idea- throwing grits!! How perfectly southern! Thanks for sharing such an amazing day

Just Because: Anthony & Crystal. Charleston, SC

I am so excited to finally be sitting down to blog Anthony and Crystal's "just because" session! Oh they are such a beautiful and fun couple. I have been friends with Crystal for years now since she was just a teenager. Now she is an amazing young woman with the world ahead of her and a bright, bright future in the music industry. She and Anthony actually went to high school together but never dated and just kind of found each other later in life. They are precious together. We got quite a few laughs out on the beach as tourists kept congratulating them. I guess Crystal's white dress and their adoring gazes at one another lead everyone to believe this was a wedding shoot! So much fun. I had one of those moments during this shoot where I realized just how blessed I am to have a career that surrounds me with sweet couples in love and beautiful scenery. Yes- life is very good. Enjoy my favorites from this HOT session!

I Do: Trey & Elizabeth. Charleston, SC

What a beautiful way to start the wedding season. A beautiful sunny spring day, daffodils everywhere, and a bride and groom completely smitten with one another.  It was a wonderful day. Trey and Elizabeth chose Charleston for it's obvious charm, and sentimental value as both of their families vacation here. They met at Clemson, their alma-mater, based on two friends who knew they would hit it off. They definitely did. Their ceremony was held at the only remaining French Hugenot Church in the country. It is just stunning inside. An awesome party followed at the Yacht Club downtown. Elizabeth's florist traveled in from Atlanta to make the day perfect and it was truly beautiful. Mel and I loved being a part of the day and had a blast shooting on the beautiful downtown Charleston streets. I have got to get better at narrowing my favorites down! They all just tell the story of the day so well it's hard to leave one out! I hope you two had a wonderful time in Jamaica!

We'll start with some details by Melissa:

Elizabeth's dress was so elegant. I love the beaded bodice.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Trey and Elizabeth's flower girl and niece....how precious!!        Perhaps one of my favorite shots from the day!                    I love these next two by Melissa!
