I Do: Dexter & Kylie. Citadel Beach House Wedding. Charleston, SC Wedding Photography

I feel like I am always starting my blog posts with an apology... if there is one thing I have learned as a mom it is that time never all of a sudden appears abundantly in my life. So the blog- be it what it may just sometimes takes a little while to get to! It's a crazy season of business and motherhood- but what's amazing is that God has shown me His goodness and joy and provision in it and I wouldn't actually change a thing. I really am excited to share today's wedding with you. Dexter and Kylie asked me to document their precious memories and I am so grateful. It was a beautiful day at the Citadel Beach House....truly perfect weather and a gorgeous hazy sunset. Enjoy some of my favorites from their best day ever.

I Do: Steve & Stacey, Old Wide Awake Plantation SC Wedding

After a few months off it is that time again...wedding season has begun. What a way to kick off the start of this year with Stacey and Steve's Old Wide Awake Plantation wedding. What an unbelievable venue! That mixed with a fun loving sweet couple= happy happy happy (yes- totally acceptable Duck Dynasty reference). My talented friend Melissa with Suggs Photography made the trip down to offer her rediculous skills second shooting. So many unbelievable vendors that truly deserve recognition. Wildflowers for the gorgeous floral decor...Duvall Catering for their delicious food. And then two folks that deserve some serious praise in my book- Mike Winship for running such a smooth wedding day (as always)! And then Stacey's sister...for serving as MOH after giving birth to a baby six days prior (um yes seriously). Ok now on to some of my favorite images! Enjoy!!

I Do: Derek and Erica. Charleston SC Wedding Photography

A sweet sweet wedding to share with you today. Beautifully elegant details- a breathtaking bride in a gorgeous dress and emotions galore. Just a wonderful day filled with many memories. I loved how Erica and her mom designed a sign for the reception with distances traveled by guests, that and the burlap pillows with their wedding date were perfect touches at the Creek Club at Ion. Derek and Erica also incorporated their nickname "Derica" onto the wedding favors- it's funny by the end of the night I found myself accidentally putting their names together- it just works! Enjoy some of my favorites from a special day with a truly exceptional couple!

I Do: Sam & Julia. Charleston, SC Wedding Photography

We're going back in time today so I can catch you back up with where we have been! In the midst of adjusting to life with my sweet little boy we just had to put a few blog posts on hold. This was my first wedding back after having Sam in May. Incidentally the groom's name- Sam- and yes something about watching him dance with his Mom (who he clearly adored) during their first dance had me totally in tears behind my camera. Sam and Julia are two people you could probably hang out with for 10 minutes and feel like you were friends. They are warm and endearing, and their wedding day was a lot of fun. Mike with Winship Productions handled all the details for a perfectly smooth day. Oh and yes the highlight of the day for me- cutest ring bearer ever. I mean a full on sprint down the aisle with "the rings"...followed by a moment of utter confusion once he delivered them wondering where to go- and then finishing his grand debut with a sprint back up the aisle. Holy cuteness overload. Such a wonderful day filled with wonderful people. Loved the spanish moss and cafe lights at the reception- all the details simply elegant. Enjoy some of my favorites!
